END OF SEASON WINTERIZATION
Wrapping up your riding season? An End of Season Winterization will ensure proper storage of your PWC during the off-season, providing peace of mind that it will be ready to go for next season.
What is a winterization?
Find a complete list of winterization protocol below.
Visual inspection: to find issues that will need to be dealt with before riding in the Spring.
Stabilize the fuel system: the shelf life of fuel is not very long. If fuel sits in the fuel system untreated, it can lead to greater issues down the line.
Lube carburetors and cylinders: to prevent corrosion and repel moisture.
Disconnect battery: when connected over the winter, your PWC can slowly drain your battery down. Often when drained, batteries will not re-charge.
Fog down entire engine: to prevent any corrosion, and coat rubber hoses to prevent from becoming brittle.
Drain water from hull: to prevent moisture build-up.
Vent engine compartment: to help prevent moisture build-up.
